If it is by Dan Parks Sydow, you can bet it is a Mac programming book. I don't think anyone has written as many books on Mac programming as Dan has. Mac Programming for Dummies is a good start for anyone wanting to learn the basics. As with all the Dummy books, it is hard to beat the price. I have the first edition of this book, I believe it is now in its 3rd edition. |

An earlier incarnation of Learn C on the Macintosh is what got me started on programming. Dave Marks introduces you to the C language in a very friendly and approachable way. |
